Indian Expat Wins Big Ticket in UAE on Second Attempt

In a heartwarming twist of fate, Indian expat Praveen Arun Tellis struck gold in Abu Dhabi’s Big Ticket draw, clinching the grand prize on just his second attempt. Tellis, who has been living in the UAE for the past 20 years, purchased the winning ticket as part of a group effort with seven friends.

Tellis had only been purchasing tickets for two months, making the victory even less likely. “I just can’t believe it,” he exclaimed, hardly believing it. “We always dreamed of this moment, but we never thought it would come so quickly.” The money from the winnings will be divided equally among his crew.

In the airline industry, Tellis explained that he and his group of friends were used to contributing money to purchase tickets as a habitual ritual. When the good news was heard among their close friends, everyone was filled with joy and delight. “It’s not my win—it’s ours,” he further concluded.

The Big Ticket draw is the UAE’s favorite, with life-altering prizes every month. Tellis’s tale is a heartwarming reminder that good fortune can strike at any moment, particularly when accompanied by close friends and an optimistic attitude.
