Crackdown on Hajj 2025: SR50,000 Fine for Violators of Visa Manipulation

If found guilty of manipulating pilgrimage-related employment visas during Hajj 2025, Saudi authorities have announced a severe punishment of SR50,000. The action attempts to stop dishonest activities that take advantage of pilgrims and compromise the authenticity of the yearly Islamic ceremony.

Violators may also be barred from all government contracts and tenders for a maximum of five years, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stressed. This ruling comes in response to growing worries about unauthorised hiring and the abuse of work permits for Hajj activities.

To improve visa monitoring and verification mechanisms and guarantee that only authorised staff are allowed to serve pilgrims, authorities are collaborating closely with the labour and immigration ministries. The crackdown is a component of a larger initiative to protect pilgrims’ well-being and preserve the pilgrimage’s purity.

Saudi authorities have reiterated their zero-tolerance approach for infractions during the holy season and asked the public and employers to report any suspicious activity via designated hotlines.
