Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has provided financing for 50 heart operations for impoverished children in Bangladesh. Each life-saving treatment will cost Dh5,000, and the charity will cover the entire cost, bringing the total aid donation to Dh250,000.
This effort is part of SCI’s global outreach programme, which prioritises crucial treatment for vulnerable children, particularly those with congenital heart problems. Working in partnership with local hospitals and medical experts in Bangladesh, the charity hopes to give these young kids a second chance at life through prompt and advanced surgical surgery.
Officials from Sharjah Charity emphasised the critical need for such efforts in areas with limited access to paediatric cardiac care. “This campaign reflects our unwavering commitment to saving lives, easing suffering, and restoring hope to families facing unimaginable medical and financial challenges,” according to a representative.
The idea also fits into the UAE’s larger objective of compassion-driven foreign aid. Heart diseases are one of the major causes of child mortality in underdeveloped nations, therefore the surgeries are likely to have a long-term impact on both individual families and entire communities in Bangladesh.
