5-Year-Old Injured After Falling from Moving Vehicle in Dubai

A fatal accident involving a child in Dubai has brought with it renewed demands for increased child safety measures within vehicles. A 5-year-old boy was injured after falling out of a moving vehicle, Dubai Police report. The child, said not to have been wearing a proper child car seat or seatbelt, was injured upon falling onto the road.

The authorities believe the accident could have been easily avoided if proper safety precautions were taken. Dubai Police reiterated that child safety seats are not optional — they are required. Kids under the age of 10 are required by law to sit in the back, buckled in an appropriate car seat or booster seat.

Police Call on Parents and Guardians:

Always utilize approved car seats for young kids.
Seatbelts must be buckled always, even for brief travels.
Never let children stand, sit without a restraint, or lean out of windows.
Check car locks and child safety devices frequently.

This accident is a grim reminder that one careless second can have life-changing results. Authorities are now calling for stepped-up awareness campaigns and harsher punishment for offenders of child passenger safety regulations.
