In a shocking breach of classroom sanctity, veteran physics teacher Ali Alawi (42) was stabbed seven times by a 17-year-old student during Iraq’s national baccalaureate exams. The attack occurred at Baghdad’s Al-Mustaqbal Secondary School after Alawi confiscated sophisticated cheating devices hidden in the student’s scientific calculator.

In a startling act of violence, a student in Iraq attacked a teacher after accusing him of cheating on the nation’s important final examinations. The event, which took place in a southern area of Iraq, has angered parents and educators alike and raised grave worries about school safety during stressful test times.

The teacher, named as Mr. Alawi, reportedly saw a student acting suspiciously and stepped in to prevent what seemed to be outright cheating. When the student struck Alawi with a knife in front of startled classmates and staff, the altercation swiftly got out of hand.
