When regional travel is disrupted by airspace closures, UAE Airlines issues alerts

Low-cost airline Air Arabia, operating in the United Arab Emirates, has issued an urgent travel alert amid rising regional tensions and the confrontation between Israel and Iran. The statement warns passengers of possible delays and disruptions due to several airspace closures throughout the Middle East. The advisory urges travelers to verify flight status before heading to the airport.

Etihad Airways, the national carrier of Abu Dhabi, also released a similar statement, citing operational adjustments and emphasizing that passenger safety remains their top priority. Both airlines are closely monitoring the volatile situation and coordinating with aviation authorities to navigate restricted air corridors.

The alert follows a wave of flight suspensions and reroutes by carriers across the Gulf, as Iran’s recent missile strike on a U.S. base in Qatar has led to restricted skies in the region. Airlines are now operating on alternate routes, resulting in extended travel times or last-minute cancellations.

Passengers flying into or over conflict-affected zones are encouraged to remain flexible with their travel plans, check real-time updates on airline platforms, and stay informed of further developments. As diplomatic talks continue, aviation experts warn of ongoing disruptions if tensions persist.
