Indian Airlines Warn of UAE, Gulf Disruptions After Qatar Attack

Following Iran’s missile strike on a U.S. military base in Qatar, Indian airlines including Air India Express and IndiGo have warned passengers of major flight disruptions to the UAE and other Gulf nations. The attack has triggered emergency airspace closures and heightened regional tensions, leaving airlines scrambling to adjust operations.

Air India Express issued a travel advisory urging passengers to check for real-time updates on their flights, noting that delays and cancellations are likely in the coming days. Similarly, IndiGo announced route adjustments and rerouting of Gulf-bound flights, citing safety concerns and coordination with aviation regulators.

The Gulf is a critical air corridor for Indian carriers, with high passenger traffic to cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Muscat. The airspace restrictions are causing ripple effects across schedules, increasing flight durations and putting pressure on airline logistics and customer service teams.

With the situation still evolving, passengers are advised to stay flexible, avoid non-essential travel, and monitor official airline communication channels. Aviation authorities in both India and the Gulf are actively reviewing air traffic patterns to maintain passenger safety amid a volatile geopolitical climate.
