As UAE Airlines recovers from the airspace crunch, Air Arabia resumes its suspended flights

Following the restoration of regional airspace following the Iran–Israel ceasefire, Sharjah-based Air Arabia has stated that it is progressively resuming flights on routes that were stopped until June 30. These routes include destinations in Iran, Iraq, Georgia, Armenia, and CIS states like Samara and Yerevan.

The airline asked customers to check flight statuses on airarabia.com and highlighted that impacted passengers are receiving direct notifications via email and SMS. While Saudi-led restrictions are easing, routes to destinations such as Tehran, Baghdad, Basra, and others remain paused until the end of June, reflecting a cautious approach.

Following temporary disruptions, major airlines in the United Arab Emirates, including as Emirates, Etihad, and flydubai, have also renamed flying operations:

With “minimal disruption,” Emirates resumed regular scheduled services; however, flights to Iran and Iraq will remain suspended until June 30. Most routes have been resumed by Etihad Airways, although flights to Tel Aviv will remain suspended until the middle of July.

As of June 26, Flydubai is resuming major routes, such as those to Damascus and Tel Aviv, and anticipates having its whole network operational by July 1. As airlines continue to adapt to lingering congestion and airspace complexity, travellers are cautioned to expect delays, rerouting, and potential last-minute cancellations even if flights have resumed.
