A brave homeowner was recognised by Sharjah Civil Defence for his prompt decision-making and valiant acts in putting out a flaming truck fire before it got out of control. The incident, which could have resulted in serious damage or injuries, was swiftly brought under control thanks to the resident’s intervention.

According to officials, the fire broke out in a commercial vehicle transporting goods within Sharjah. Before emergency responders arrived, the unnamed citizen used a nearby extinguisher to tackle the flames, successfully containing the blaze and preventing its spread to other vehicles or nearby structures.

In a special ceremony, Civil Defence authorities commended the resident’s courage and civic responsibility, presenting him with a certificate of appreciation. They emphasized the importance of community members being prepared and responsive in emergencies, while also reminding the public to prioritize safety when intervening.

This act of bravery serves as a powerful reminder of how vigilant citizens can play a key role in supporting first responders and protecting lives and property.
