Flights on Wizz Air Abu Dhabi resume today following a suspension on June 30

After a brief suspension, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has formally resumed its scheduled flights to and from Abu Dhabi International Airport as of today. Due to regional airspace constraints brought on by Middle East tensions, the airline had suspended operations until June 30.

The suspension affected flights after several Gulf countries—including Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait—closed their airspace following an attack on a U.S. base in Qatar. The disruption briefly impacted both Abu Dhabi and Dubai operations.

Wizz Air announced that the suspension has now officially ended and underlined that passenger safety is still its top concern. Affected travellers have been urged to review the most recent flight itineraries and make the required preparations.

This restoration of services aligns with other UAE carriers—such as Air Arabia, Emirates, Etihad, and flydubai—that have gradually resumed normal operations following the resolution of airspace restrictions.

What Travelers Should Know:
Effective Today: Wizz Air Abu Dhabi flights resume at Abu Dhabi International (Zayed Airport).

Affected Routes: Services to various regional and international destinations including Europe and the Middle East.

Safety First: The airline cited evolving regional conditions and closed airspace as reasons for the temporary halt.

Keep Up: Travellers are advised to check the status of their flights on official websites and get in touch with the airline for assistance or a rebook.
