His Majesty Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the development of a new livestock pasture in Al Dhaid. This initiative aims to support local livestock breeders and enhance sustainable agricultural practices in the central region.
Pasture to assist only authorised breeders
Officials said only breeders from legally registered farms will be able to use the newly allocated grazing area. This strategy discourages unlicensed businesses from abusing open pastures while guaranteeing appropriate regulation, animal care, and environmental sustainability.
A key location for optimal accessibility
The location was specifically picked to help breeders in and around Al Dhaid, one of Sharjah’s most important agricultural areas. It should provide enough room and resources to raise cattle in a regulated and watched setting, as well as lessen the strain on current pastures.
Part of wider rural development plan
The project aligns with Sharjah’s broader vision for rural development and food security, focusing on modern farming techniques, animal care, and local food production. More such initiatives are expected to follow as the emirate enhances its agriculture and livestock infrastructure.
