After a fight with his mother over tuition, a 14-year-old kid, the lone son of a television actress famous for her parts in Gujarati and Hindi serials, committed suicide in Kandivali, Mumbai, on Wednesday night. The family lives on the 51st level of the Brooke building, where the unfortunate occurrence happened at around 6 p.m. Police said the child went down a few levels and then jumped to his death.

Authorities confirmed that an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been submitted and that there is no suspicion of foul play. Police started a thorough investigation into the events leading up to the death, and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination.

The boy’s mother’s testimony, CCTV footage, and maybe interviews with teachers and students from his school and tutoring centre are all part of the investigation. Authorities want to know if the tragedy was caused by underlying mental health conditions or academic stress.

The case has sparked wider reflection in Mumbai and beyond on the demands placed on adolescents and the importance of supporting their mental well-being. Experts are calling for increased awareness among parents, schools, and tutoring centres to foster open communication, stress management, and emotional support for school-age children.
