The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) and the Hamdan International Photography Award (HIPA) held a special award ceremony in Dubai to honour the inventiveness of visual storytellers who encapsulated Hatta’s heritage and landscapes. Talented photographers and videographers from all throughout the United Arab Emirates and beyond entered the competition, and the winners were honoured during the event.

The tournament, which took place in Hatta’s charming surroundings, sought to showcase the area’s natural beauty, culture, and development. The chosen pieces featured tranquil lakes, stunning mountains, and glimpses of local life, all seen from the individual perspectives of each participant. The entries were commended by the judges for their genuineness and originality.

The ceremony, attended by government officials, artists, and media personalities, was marked by emotional speeches and inspiring stories behind the winning images. Winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and special recognition by both GDRFA and HIPA. Organizers also emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting local tourism and cultural awareness through artistic expression.

Officials stated that this event aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of encouraging creative industries and storytelling through modern media. With the success of this competition, similar visual art initiatives are expected to be launched in the near future, providing more platforms for emerging talent in the region.
