If you pay your traffic fines within 60 days, Sharjah will give you 35% off

Sharjah launched a permanent traffic fine discount programme on April 1, 2023, which automatically reduces fines by 35% for drivers who pay within 60 days after the infraction. This all-inclusive discount covers the initial period’s impoundment fees, storage expenses, and any late payment penalties in addition to the monetary penalty.

Impoundment fees must be paid in full, although a reduced 25% discount is only applied to the fine amount if it is resolved within 60 days to a year. After a year, there is no more reduction available, and there are full penalties.

Serious traffic violations—such as excessive speeding, endangering lives, drunk driving, or unauthorized vehicle modifications—are excluded from any discount schemes .

The discount is automatically applied, and users report seeing the adjusted fines via the MOI UAE, Sharjah Police, or EVG platforms. For example, a Dh600 fine would show as Dh390 within the 60-day window.
