Abu Dhabi is set to welcome the long-awaited Zayed National Museum in December 2025, marking a monumental addition to the Saadiyat Cultural District. Designed by Foster + Partners, the museum’s iconic silhouette—shaped like falcon wings—will rise proudly beside other illustrious landmarks like the Louvre and upcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
Inside, visitors will journey through six permanent galleries spread across two floors, plus a rotating exhibition space, tracing 300,000 years of human history—from Paleolithic settlements to modern Emirati achievements. Highlights include the Abu Dhabi Pearl, a rare Blue Qur’an manuscript, and an 18-meter replica of an ancient Magan Boat.
Beyond its displays, the museum will serve as a research powerhouse, supporting archaeological, cultural, and scientific initiatives across the UAE. It will also feature community programming, educational workshops, and accessibility measures for all visitors—reinforcing a mission of unity and learning inspired by Sheikh Zayed.
This institution is more than a showcase—it’s a national beacon embodying Sheikh Zayed’s values of identity, humanitarianism, and knowledge-sharing. Opening its doors in December 2025, it cements Abu Dhabi’s status as a global cultural and educational hub.
