He made everyone laugh, yet he died while awaiting surgery that his family could not afford. Fish Venkat, a well-known Telugu comedian who was honoured for his iconic appearances in more than 100 films, tragically died at the age of 53 from problems related to kidney disease. Venkat, a mainstay of South Indian cinema, made millions of people smile while suffering in silence off-screen while awaiting a life-saving operation that was never performed because of budgetary limitations.

A Career in Comedy Fish Venkat, who gained notoriety for his unfiltered comedic timing and unique on-screen persona, gained popularity in supporting parts that brought humour to movies of all genres. He gained popularity in Telugu homes and was frequently praised.

The Quiet Battle
Behind the scenes, Venkat spent years receiving therapy for severe kidney disease. He apparently experienced extreme financial difficulties despite his fame, with his family finding it difficult to pay for a much-needed kidney transplant.

He had been waiting for surgery, but the treatment kept getting delayed because of a lack of cash, according to family sources.
