Ambulance teams from the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Mecca successfully saved the life of a Pakistani pilgrim who experienced cardiac arrest and lost consciousness, achieving a remarkable response time of just one minute.

The incident took place on Friday at 11:19 AM when the Command and Control Center received an emergency report regarding an unconscious pilgrim in the King Fahd walkway area at the Mecca Mosque.

Rapid response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found a man in his fifties who was unconscious and not breathing. Paramedics swiftly initiated treatment according to established protocols, utilizing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) available within the Haram as part of the ‘Whoever Revives Her’ initiative.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was performed using the LUXE device until the patient’s pulse was successfully restored. The pilgrim was then transported to a medical facility for further monitoring and necessary care.
