The UAE has strongly condemned the armed attack that targeted Chadian army forces, resulting in the deaths and injuries of multiple soldiers.

The attack on a military base in Chad’s Lake region over the weekend left about 40 soldiers dead, according to Chad’s presidency on Monday. Authorities reported that an operation is underway to locate the attackers.

On Tuesday, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement denouncing the criminal acts and reaffirming its stance against violence and terrorism. The ministry extended heartfelt condolences to Chad’s government and people, particularly the victims’ families, and wished all those injured a speedy recovery.
