Dubai has approved its 2025-2027 government budget, setting a record with Dh302 billion in revenue and Dh272 billion in expenditures, marking the largest budget in the emirate’s history. This budget projects a surplus of approximately Dh30 billion, with revenues surpassing expenses.

Announcing on X, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “Praise be to God, today we approved Dubai’s budget for 2025-2027, with revenues of Dh302 billion and expenditures of Dh272 billion, the largest in the emirate’s history.”

For the coming year, 46% of the budget is allocated to infrastructure, covering roads, bridges, energy, drainage, and the construction of a new airport. Additionally, 30% is earmarked for health, education, social development, housing, and other community services.

Sheikh Mohammed added that the upcoming year’s budget will achieve a 21% operating surplus, the first time Dubai has achieved this level of financial gain.

“Our goal is to ensure long-term financial sustainability for the Dubai government,” said Sheikh Mohammed. He also highlighted a Dh40 billion partnership between the public and private sectors.

The 2024 Dubai government budget projected expenditures exceeding Dh79 billion, with anticipated revenues above Dh90 billion.

Earlier this month, the UAE Cabinet approved its 2025 federal budget of Dh71.5 billion, also the largest in national history.
