A masked thief who stole items from cars has been caught by Ras Al Khaimah Police. The suspect, in his thirties, was arrested shortly after breaking into several vehicles by smashing their windows.

According to Dr. Tariq Mohammed bin Saif, Director General of Police Operations, police received numerous complaints about vehicle thefts in different areas across the emirate.

The thief would break car windows and steal belongings while wearing a mask to hide his face. The thefts quickly drew attention on social media, with many sharing videos and images of the targeted vehicles.

A specialized team was formed to investigate the thefts, and a detailed plan was created to catch the criminal. The team collected important evidence and began searching for the suspect. The RAK Police arrested the thief, who was identified as an Asian resident involved in multiple thefts.

During questioning, the suspect admitted to breaking vehicle windows and stealing valuables. He has been sent to the public prosecutor for further legal action.

Additionally, the person who posted the videos of the vehicles online was also arrested and will be referred to the public prosecutor. The police noted that sharing such content can harm ongoing investigations and allow criminals to evade justice.

Authorities urged the public not to share these videos and images to avoid hindering investigations and giving criminals a chance to escape.

Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al-Naeemi, the Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, praised the team that quickly arrested the thief responsible for the vehicle break-ins.

He emphasized that the police will continue to work hard to ensure the safety and security of citizens and residents while protecting their property from anyone who tries to violate it.
