Oman’s Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs is set to launch online registration for Hajj starting Monday. It is available on the website www.hajj.om from November 4 to November 17. This year, Oman has a quota of 14,000 pilgrims. The ministry has implemented a more straightforward registration process. It allows applicants to register using their civil ID, personal card, or mobile number. This digital initiative aims to improve accessibility and efficiency according to the requirements of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The registration process provides various options for convenience. These processes include electronic authentication for those using mobile phones with the necessary features. The ministry highlighted that Omani citizens wishing to perform Hajj this year can easily register at this portal. The portal is designed to be user-friendly and guides applicants through each step.
There are special provisions for certain groups within the application system. Male applicants aged 67 and older, and female applicants aged 65 and above can apply easily. Individuals who do not have visual or motor disabilities can apply to travel. They should have a registered companion for assistance during the pilgrimage. Female applicants must also designate a mahram—a close male relative—who is already registered in the system. This process ensures compliance with all necessary guidelines for a safe and organized experience.
Oman’s Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs is confident that the online system will simplify the Hajj registration process. It will allow pilgrims to concentrate on their spiritual preparations for the journey. This digital approach is part of broader efforts to facilitate safer and more organized pilgrimages. It reflects the collaborative commitment between Oman and Saudi Arabia to meet all requirements efficiently.
