Flynas Expands Horizons: New Routes to Entebbe and Djibouti Set to Soar in 2025

Saudi budget airline Flynas is preparing to expand its international network with the launch of two new African destinations starting in January 2025. This strategic initiative aligns with Flynas commitment to its ‘We Connect the World to the Kingdom’ program. This will enhance connectivity and supporting Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation strategy.

Starting January 8, 2025, travelers can fly three times a week from Riyadh to Entebbe, Uganda, and from Jeddah to Djibouti. This expansion not only provides new travel options for passengers but also plays a vital role in Saudi Arabia’s vision to boost tourism and connectivity as part of its broader goals.

With an aim to welcome 150 million tourists by 2030, the new routes to Entebbe and Djibouti support efforts to improve travel experiences for pilgrims visiting Mecca and Medina. This initiative highlights the kingdom’s focus on making travel more accessible and convenient for international visitors while strengthening its position in the global tourism market.

The introduction of these routes comes after a significant increase in domestic seat capacity by over 480,000 during the summer months, marking a 21% growth compared to the previous year. This rise in capacity is particularly noteworthy. It includes key routes to popular destinations like Taif, Abha, and Al-Baha, addressing the growing demand for travel within Saudi Arabia.

In line with its commitment to enhancing its fleet, Flynas recently took delivery of its 53rd A320neo aircraft in July, with plans to acquire a total of 120 Airbus aircraft. This expansion reinforces Flynas’ status as a leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East and places it among the top four globally.

The announcement of new African routes not only showcases Flynas’ ambition to extend its international reach. It also highlights its dedication to providing exceptional travel experiences.
