Dubai’s Unique Dining Experience: The Next Best Thing to a Hot Air Balloon Dinner

Dubai never fails to impress with its exciting offerings.

As the weather cools down, terraces are welcoming guests once again. This November, Jumeirah Al Qasr is launching a special dining experience called Balloons at the Palace a unique pop-up concept that transforms afternoon tea and dinner in Dubai.

Located on the fifth floor of this iconic hotel, the whimsical setting allows guests to enjoy their meals in hot air balloon-inspired spaces, complete with stunning panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf, Burj Al Arab, and the sparkling Dubai skyline.

It’s important to note that these balloons are on the terrace; you won’t actually be up in the air, although Dubai has that experience available elsewhere.

This creative dining experience offers two exclusive options: a luxurious Afternoon Tea in the Sky and a globally inspired five-course dinner. Both experiences combine elegant culinary art with a sense of fun and adventure, ensuring an unforgettable time for every guest.

For dinner, diners can embark on a global flavor journey with a specially curated five-course menu available from Wednesday to Sunday at 7pm for Dh395 per person (with limited seating).

Start your culinary journey in France with Chef Kim’s Bar au Citron, a delicate Seabass Carpaccio paired with a refreshing lemon dressing.

Next, travel to Italy with Chef Beatrice’s Ravioli del Plin, featuring pasta parcels nestled in a rich cognac-infused jus.

Then, experience Thailand with Chef Amara’s Lon Goong, which includes tiger prawns in a creamy coconut and tamarind sauce, capturing the vibrant flavors of Thai cuisine.

From the Levant, enjoy Chef Elias’ Seabass Harrah, seasoned with aromatic zaatar, providing a warm taste of the Middle East.

For the main course, savor Chef Eric’s Beef Tenderloin with Maple Glaze, bringing a taste of Canada’s finest.

The meal ends on a sweet note with Chef Dimitri’s Signature Madeleine, a delightful homage to Dubai.

For those who prefer a lighter option, Afternoon Tea in the Sky offers a classic British tea service that transports guests to London, complemented by sweeping views and a calm atmosphere. With two seating times available from Wednesday through Sunday (1-3pm and 3.30-5.30pm), guests can choose from three packages starting at Dh250 per person.
