OpenAI’s ChatGPT Suffers Major Outage, Thousands of Users Affected

OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, announced on Friday night that it was facing a problem causing its popular chatbot, ChatGPT, to be unavailable. The company stated that it was looking into the issue and working hard to restore the service as quickly as possible.

As of 7:13 PM ET (0013 GMT on Saturday), outage tracker Downdetector.com reported that over 19,403 users had been affected by the outage.

OpenAI has not yet responded to a request for comment on the issue.
