A man who overturned his motorcycle in the Sharjah desert was rescued on Friday by the Sharjah Police, in collaboration with the National Search and Rescue Centre of the National Guard.
The Sharjah Police Central Operations Room received an accident report at 12:28pm regarding a motorcycle crash in the Rifada desert, near Al-Madam city in the central region.
A specialized police team, supported by the National Guard’s search and rescue aircraft, was quickly deployed to evacuate the injured motorcyclist and transport him to Al-Zeed Hospital for treatment.
The General Command of Sharjah Police has urged motorcyclists to follow safety rules and regulations when engaging in desert activities.
They also warned against venturing onto unsafe routes and remote areas where emergencies cannot be quickly addressed, stressing that reckless driving can lead to serious accidents or even fatalities.
