Football fans around the globe are looking forward to the draw on December 5 for the first-ever 32-team FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in Miami. This significant event will establish the group stage lineup for the tournament’s new format, scheduled to take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

Unlike the previous Club World Cup that featured just seven teams, FIFA’s revamped format will include clubs from all over the world competing in eight groups of four, allowing for greater diversity and more exciting matchups. However, there are still concerns regarding the financial side of the event, as information about broadcasting rights and sponsorships is scarce. Currently, the only announced sponsor is the Chinese electronics company Hisense, and FIFA has not yet disclosed its TV broadcasting partners.

As clubs from around the world gear up for this heightened competition, the tournament is set to offer a unique summer experience for fans and represents a significant advancement in FIFA’s goal of broadening the international appeal of club football.
