Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is thrilled to receive his first senior call-up to the England squad, joining four other newcomers after several withdrawals left the team in need of reinforcements. Interim manager Lee Carsley, who will oversee England’s final two matches against Greece and Ireland, is set to introduce fresh talent on the pitch in Athens and Wembley before passing the reins to incoming manager Thomas Tuchel.

With key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jack Grealish pulling out, Carsley had to make adjustments to England’s Nations League roster. The 22-year-old Rogers has been in excellent form under Unai Emery at Villa, scoring three goals and providing three assists this season, which secured him a place in the national team.

As the interim manager looks to conclude his time in charge on a positive note, the revamped squad will strive to earn vital Nations League points, offering players like Rogers a priceless chance to make their England debut and showcase their potential on the international stage.
