In a serious reminder of the dangers of reckless driving, Dubai Police reported that 15 lives were lost due to accidents related to swerving in the past six months. These incidents, triggered by sudden lane changes and distracted driving, led to 262 accidents on Dubai roads, injuring over 300 individuals, with 25 suffering from severe injuries.

The General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police has ramped up its awareness campaigns, urging drivers to refrain from sudden swerving, which can have devastating consequences. Authorities stress the importance of remaining vigilant, following lane discipline and being considerate of other drivers, particularly during busy traffic times.

Reckless lane changes and brief distractions remain significant contributors to accidents, prompting Dubai Police to enhance patrols and impose stricter penalties for dangerous driving practices.
