The UAE has successfully completed a rescue mission for an elderly man injured while in Saudi Arabia, as announced by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The man, in his seventies, encountered health complications during his stay in the Gulf country.
The UAE National Guard, along with the National Search and Rescue Centre, organized an air ambulance mission with Saudi officials’ help. After initial treatment at King Khalid Hospital in Saudi Arabia, the patient was safely airlifted to Mediclinic Hospital in the UAE for further care.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the Saudi authorities and the UAE Consulate in Jeddah for their support in making the mission possible.
Earlier this year, the UAE conducted similar rescue missions, including the evacuation of an Emirati woman injured in a traffic accident in Oman. Another woman and her family were rescued from Salalah, Oman, following a serious accident, and another patient was transferred to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City after treatment in Nizwa.
These efforts highlight the UAE’s dedication to providing timely aid and ensuring safe medical transfers across borders.
