The Abu Dhabi T10 2023 is gearing up for its eighth season, starting on November 21, promising another exciting chapter in short-form cricket.

This season’s team captains and head coaches have been announced, offering an exciting lineup of seasoned players and experienced mentors.

Bangla Tigers will again be led by Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan, who previously captained them two years ago. Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan remains their head coach for the third year.

Nicholas Pooran will continue as the skipper for Deccan Gladiators, a role he’s held for two seasons, including their championship win in 2022 and runner-up finish in 2023. The Gladiators also stick with Mushtaq Ahmed as head coach.

The Delhi Bulls have appointed Rovman Powell, West Indies T20I captain, as their leader. Andy Flower returns as head coach, replacing Chris Silverwood, after a three-year gap.

For Northern Warriors, Trent Boult will take over the captaincy from Angelo Mathews. On the coaching side, Australian legend Dav Whatmore joins as head coach.

Team Abu Dhabi sees changes too, with English cricketer Phil Salt replacing Dwaine Pretorius as captain and Mark Boucher, the former South African cricketer, stepping in as head coach.

Morrisville Samp Army will be led by UAE cricketer Rohan Mustafa, with Lance Klusener as their new head coach this season.

The defending champions, New York Strikers, keep their winning duo—Kieron Pollard as captain and Carl Crowe as coach—for the third straight season.

Chennai Braves Jaguars welcome Thisara Perera as their new captain, replacing Charith Asalanka, while Chaminda Vaas takes over coaching duties from Douglas Brown.

Making their debut in the Abu Dhabi T10, UP Nawabs will be captained by Afghanistan star Rahmanullah Gurbaz, with former English cricketer Owais Shah as head coach.

Another new team, Ajman Bolts, will have Mohammad Nabi as their captain and renowned coach Ottis Gibson leading them.

The Abu Dhabi T10 2023 will follow a round-robin format, where the top four teams after the league stage will move to the playoffs. The playoff matches, including the qualifier and two eliminators, are set for December 1, and the grand finale will take place on December 2.

This 12-day cricket spectacle promises high-intensity action with ten competitive teams battling for glory.
