A bold and controversial decision by the CEO of a US company has ignited a fierce online debate after he terminated 99 out of 110 employees for missing a mandatory morning meeting. This decision revealed through a Slack message, has left both employees and the online community in shock, leading to widespread criticism.

The Dismissal and Viral Slack Message
The situation escalated when a Reddit user, an intern at the company, posted a screenshot of the Slack message that notified employees of their termination. The company, which focuses on musical instruments, was left with only 11 employees after the CEO’s drastic move.

In the Slack message, CEO Baldvin harshly criticized the absent employees, stating:

“For those of you who did not show up to the meeting this morning, consider this your official notice: you’re all fired. You failed to do what you agreed to, you failed to complete your part of the contract, and you failed to show up to the meetings you were supposed to attend and work for.”

He further instructed the terminated employees to return to company property and log out of all accounts immediately, leaving only the 11 employees who attended the meeting with their jobs.

Online Reactions and Debate
The post quickly gained traction on Reddit, sparking a heated discussion. Many questioned the CEO’s severe punishment, while others felt it was an overreaction to the employee’s absence from the meeting.

Critics accused the CEO of showing a lack of empathy, especially after it was revealed that an intern, who had only been with the company for one hour, was also dismissed. However, supporters defended the CEO’s actions, arguing that it set a strong example for work ethic and professionalism.
