UAE Weather Alert: Fog Hits, Drivers Advised to Be Extra Cautious

On Thursday morning, red and yellow alerts were issued in some suburban areas of Abu Dhabi due to foggy weather conditions.

Humidity Levels and Wind Conditions:Sea Conditions:

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced the fog warning for the Al Dhafra region at 6:45 AM, which will stay in effect until 9:30 AM. Drivers are advised to exercise extra caution as fog may cause low visibility during these hours.

Residents across the UAE should prepare for partly cloudy weather, with heavier cloud cover likely in the eastern areas by the afternoon, according to the NCM.

Humidity Levels and Wind Conditions:

  • Nights will be humid, with chances of fog forming in coastal and internal areas until Friday morning.
  • Winds will remain light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 30 km/h.

Sea Conditions:

The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will have light waves, making it relatively calm for maritime activities.
