The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that December 2 and 3, 2024, will be paid public holidays for private sector workers in celebration of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad. This decision allows private sector employees to take time off to honor this important event, in line with the previously established two-day holiday for public sector workers.

As a result, private sector employees will enjoy an extended holiday period, totaling four days when including the weekend from Friday, November 29, to Sunday, December 1. Work will resume on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, after the holiday break.

This announcement by the MoHRE is part of the UAE Cabinet’s resolution regarding public holidays for both sectors in 2024. The ministry also conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the UAE’s leadership, citizens, and residents on this momentous occasion.
