The highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 hit Hello, Love, Goodbye has taken the world by storm. Hello, Love, Again has officially crossed the Php1 billion mark at the global box office, amassing an impressive Php1.06 billion ($18 million) as of November 23, 2024. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, this romantic drama cements its place in cinematic history as the first Filipino film to reach this incredible milestone.

Featuring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, two of the most beloved stars in Philippine cinema, the film’s success highlights their undeniable appeal. Fans eagerly anticipated their reunion on screen, and the sequel delivered a touching story that resonated with audiences around the globe. The movie’s release was met with an enthusiastic response, with packed theaters and record-breaking ticket sales, reinforcing the duo’s status as box office royalty.

Hello, Love, Again began its successful run with a remarkable opening, earning Php85 million on its first day, November 13. The momentum continued to build, with the film setting a single-day record by earning Php131 million on November 16, even in the face of challenges posed by supertyphoon Man-yi. Its engaging storyline, stunning visuals, and exceptional performances have won over audiences, propelling it into the US Top 10 box office list—a rare achievement for a Filipino film.

This historic accomplishment signals a new era for Philippine cinema, demonstrating its ability to compete on the global stage. As Hello, Love, Again continues its theatrical journey, it stands as a testament to the creativity and talent within the Filipino film industry. With its billion-peso success, the movie paves the way for more Filipino films to gain international recognition, inspiring filmmakers and actors to aspire for even greater heights.
