Taking place at Dubai Design District, DFW will showcase the autumn-winter 2025 collections over six days. The event features 25 regional and international designers, with one major fashion house set to be announced as the guest of honor. In the past, big names like Italian designer Roberto Cavalli and American label Carolina Herrera have graced the event.

Strengthening Dubai’s Role in Global Fashion

The participation of a major international label not only highlights its creative talent but also strengthens Dubai’s position as a leading fashion hub. Over the course of six days, the event will include runway shows, presentations, parties, and exclusive VIP dinners. Designers will showcase collections ranging from ready-to-wear and bridal to event wear and couture.

Events like Dubai Fashion Week play a crucial role for small and emerging brands. They provide opportunities to network with buyers, clients, and collaborators. To further support these brands, DFW is introducing a Buyers Programme, which will help designers build strategic partnerships.

Buyers Programme for Emerging Brands

Designers interested in the Buyers Programme can apply online before December 22. According to DFW, only brands that are “innovative and market-ready” will be selected. Chosen brands will be announced early in the new year.

Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer of the Arab Fashion Council, emphasized the program’s importance. “Our goal is to empower talented designers to grow by connecting them with top international buyers. This initiative aims to stimulate economic growth and strengthen Arab fashion on the global stage,” he explained.

A Diverse Lineup of Talent

This season’s lineup includes not just UAE-based brands but also labels from Indonesia, India, France, Russia, Britain, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, and Palestine. The diverse representation underscores Dubai’s commitment to being a global melting pot for fashion.

Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District, highlighted the event’s focus on fostering talent. “Our mission is to bring visionary designers and influential buyers together, creating opportunities for both creativity and business growth. Dubai Fashion Week is shaping the region’s global influence in fashion and creative industries,” she said.
