Dubai Offers Free Parking for Two Days During UAE National Day Holiday

Dubai has announced two days of free parking in celebration of the UAE National Day holiday. Public parking (excluding multi-storey parking) will be free on Monday, December 2, and Tuesday, December 3, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). This effectively creates a three-day free parking period, as parking fees are not charged on Sundays.

Most residents in the UAE will enjoy a four-day weekend for Eid Al Etihad this year. Government officials have declared December 2 and 3 as paid holidays for both private and public sectors, ensuring a festive break.

All private schools, nurseries, and universities in Dubai will remain closed on December 2 and 3, with regular classes resuming on Wednesday, December 4. Families can plan quality time together during the holiday.

UAE National Day Celebrations

The UAE observes National Day, now officially called Eid Al Etihad, on December 2 each year to commemorate the unification of the Emirates in 1971. This year marks the 53rd anniversary of the country’s formation.

The official celebrations will take place in the stunning natural landscapes of Al Ain, attended by the nation’s leaders and Rulers. Festivities are expected to highlight the UAE’s heritage and achievements, offering a memorable experience for citizens and visitors alike.
