Fujairah Police have arrested several reckless drivers in the Al Faqit area, according to a recent update shared on their social media. The offenders have been referred to Public Prosecution for further legal action, the authorities confirmed.
Earlier this year, Fujairah Police took action against motorists involved in illegal street racing on a public road in the Al Sodah region. The incident, which occurred in March, was uncovered through surveillance footage reviewed by the authorities.
One of the vehicles reportedly lost control, veered off the road, spun out, and hit a rail barrier. The incident gained attention when videos of the crash surfaced online in early 2024. Police quickly identified and apprehended those responsible for the dangerous behavior.
