As 2025 approaches, it’s time to review your budget if you live in Dubai or frequently visit for work or business. Some services and fees are set to increase, marking the first hike for some entities in over a decade. These adjustments aim to improve public services, including traffic management.

Key Price Increases in Dubai for 2025

1. Dubai Parking Fees

Starting March 2025, parking in Dubai’s premium areas during peak hours will cost Dh6 per hour, while standard areas will remain at Dh4 per hour.

Here’s the updated parking fee breakdown:

Parking Areas Timings Fee per Hour
Premium (peak hours) 8am-10am / 4pm-8pm Dh6
Premium (off-peak hours) 10am-4pm / 8pm-10pm Dh4
Standard 8am-10pm Dh4
All Areas (night/Sundays) 10pm-8am / All day on Sundays Free
Events Parking During major events Dh25

Premium zones, marked in pink on the parking map, include areas near Metro stations, high-demand spots, and commercial districts. Event parking fees of Dh25 per hour will apply during events near places like the Dubai World Trade Centre, starting February 2025.

2. Salik Toll Hike

From January 2025, Salik tolls will adopt a dynamic pricing system, with higher charges during peak times:

Salik Fee Timings
Dh6 6am-10am / 4pm-8pm (peak hours)
Dh4 10am-4pm / 8pm-1am / Sundays (non-holidays)
Free 1am-6am

This is the first Salik toll revision since 2007. The changes aim to ease traffic congestion while generating an estimated Dh60 million to Dh110 million annually for Salik.

3. New Sewerage Tariffs

Residents and businesses in Dubai will see higher sewerage fees starting 2025. Over three years, the rates will increase as follows:

Year Fee per Gallon
2025 1.5 fils
2026 2 fils
2027 2.8 fils

This adjustment supports water conservation and infrastructure improvements. It’s the first sewerage fee hike in 10 years.

Rent and Salary Outlook for 2025

While fees are rising, there’s positive news for rents and salaries:

  • Rent: Over 100,000 new apartments and villas are expected in 2025, potentially lowering rental rates in some areas.
  • Salaries: Wages in the UAE may increase by an average of 4%, with higher hikes for professionals in technology, legal, finance, and HR sectors, as per studies by Robert Half and Mercer.

Stay prepared for these changes and adjust your budget accordingly to manage 2025’s cost updates efficiently.
