“We focus obsessively on the details of every project, hiring the best people, and removing those who don’t add value. Keeping unproductive people causes harm, so we act quickly,” said Alabbar, a Dubai-based billionaire and business leader.

Alabbar also highlighted the importance of discipline in managing large organizations. “To handle big companies, discipline is key. I don’t differentiate between weekdays and weekends, but I truly enjoy my work.”

Building a Knowledge-Based Economy

As the UAE transitions to a knowledge-driven economy, medium and large businesses are prioritizing the recruitment of skilled professionals. This shift aims to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and maintain competitiveness.

Change Is the Only Constant

Alabbar shared his ambitious vision for e-commerce and other sectors, stating, “We want to dominate every e-commerce business. There’s new competition daily, and you cannot stay idle.”

His companies regularly outperform their own expectations by revising budgets annually. “Every year, we update our targets and challenge ourselves to do better,” he noted.

Expressing gratitude for Dubai’s supportive environment, he said, “We owe this city so much. It’s a privilege to run businesses here and have a good reputation.”
