Philippine Holidays 2025: Official List Announced by Malacañang

Malacañang Palace has officially released the list of Philippine holidays for the remainder of 2024 and the complete schedule for 2025. This announcement is part of the country’s “holiday economics” initiative, aimed at maximizing long weekends and enhancing domestic tourism.

For the rest of 2024, notable holidays include Christmas Day (December 25), Rizal Day (December 30), and the special non-working holiday for New Year’s Eve (December 31). As the year comes to a close, Filipinos can look forward to spending quality time with family and friends during these important occasions.

In 2025, the calendar is filled with regular and special non-working holidays, such as Holy Week (April 17-19), Independence Day (June 12), and Bonifacio Day (November 30). The palace has also added extra dates for special non-working holidays to promote extended weekends, which are anticipated to benefit local businesses, especially in the tourism industry.

This strategic plan supports the government’s goal of achieving a balance between work and personal life while fostering economic development. Employers and employees are encouraged to prepare in advance for the upcoming year to fully enjoy the long weekends and opportunities for relaxation and travel.
