The airline highlighted the busiest travel days: December 12–15, December 20–22, and December 27–29, with over 88,000 passengers departing daily during these peak periods.

Arrive Early and Use Check-In Options

Emirates recommends arriving at the airport 3 hours before your flight. To save time, passengers can use a variety of check-in and baggage drop options.

In 2023, daily departures reached 75,000 passengers, but in 2024, numbers have risen to as high as 89,000, marking a 20% increase.

Convenient Check-In Choices

Travelers can check in online or via the Emirates app starting 48 hours before their flight. Luggage can also be dropped off at the airport the night before, free of charge. This service is available:

  • 24 hours before departure
  • 12 hours before departure for US-bound flights

For added convenience, First Class travelers and Skywards Platinum Members can use free home check-in. Passengers traveling from Ajman can take advantage of the 24-hour City Check-In at the Ajman Central Bus Terminal, up to 4 hours before departure.

Be sure to check that your baggage meets the airline’s requirements before heading to the airport.

Special Assistance for People of Determination

During the festive rush, Emirates offers additional support for passengers with special needs, including a pre-planned guide at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for those with hidden disabilities.

Extras for Travelers

  • Two hours of free parking at the airport
  • Access to a dedicated priority lane for check-in, security, and boarding

By using these services, you can enjoy a smoother travel experience during the busy holiday season.
