UAE President and UK PM Discuss Strategic Bilateral Partnership

President Sheikh Mohamed welcomed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Abu Dhabi today during his working visit to the UAE. Their meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati and focused on strengthening the partnership between the UAE and the UK, aiming to support the growth and aspirations of both nations and their citizens.

Prime Minister Starmer congratulated Sheikh Mohamed on the UAE’s 53rd National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad, and wished the nation continued progress and prosperity.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing collaboration, emphasizing their shared history and the importance of building stronger ties in the future.

They also discussed regional and global topics of mutual interest, particularly developments in the Middle East. Their conversation highlighted a unified commitment to peace, security, and stability, with an emphasis on resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy.

The meeting was attended by prominent UAE officials, including:

  • Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser.
  • Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
  • Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs.
  • Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun, Advisor to the UAE President.
  • Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
  • Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority.
  • Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces.
  • Mansour Abdullah Khalfan Belhoul, UAE Ambassador to the UK.

This visit underscores the strong relationship between the UAE and the UK and their shared vision for peace and prosperity on a global scale.
