Ministers, teachers, and healthcare workers were recognized for their remarkable efforts at the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award 2024 ceremony held on Tuesday, December 10. The event honored individuals who made outstanding contributions in their fields.

Salama Khalfan Al Mazrouei, the principal of Qatar Al Nada School, won the Best School Principal award and received the prestigious Prime Minister’s Medal. Abdul Latif Abdullah Al Siyabi was named the Best Teacher for his impactful work at Al Suqoor Secondary School for Boys in Abu Dhabi. Both were celebrated by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In recognition of their diplomatic service, Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, the UAE Ambassador to Indonesia, and Amana Mahmoud Mohammed Fikri, the UAE Ambassador to Finland, were also awarded for their contributions to strengthening the UAE’s international relations.

In the healthcare field, Dr. Saqr Abdullah Al Mualla, a consultant at Al Qassimi Hospital, was named Best Doctor for his exceptional medical service, highlighting the country’s dedication to quality healthcare.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award 2024 focuses on areas like Leadership, Vision Achievement, Distinguished Services, Transformational Projects, and Performance Competitiveness. These categories support the UAE’s strategic goals for a bright future, outlined in the “We the Emirates Vision 2031”.

This year, the awards involved a rigorous evaluation process with over 130 Emirati and international experts assessing 225 candidates from 27 organizations. Updates to the evaluation criteria showcase the UAE’s ability to adapt to global changes and maintain leadership in governance.

The Prime Minister’s Medals recognize individuals who inspire others with qualities such as teamwork, loyalty, and a sense of positive citizenship. Since its launch in 2009, the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award has remained the highest honor for government and corporate excellence in the UAE.
