Kuwait has temporarily suspended its e-visa service to implement platform upgrades

Kuwait has announced a temporary suspension of its e-visa service as it works on significant upgrades to improve the platform’s functionality and user experience. During this downtime, travelers from 53 eligible countries can still enter Kuwait using a visa-on-arrival option, which simplifies the entry process at the main airport.

This initiative aims to modernize the digital infrastructure for visa applications, ensuring a more efficient and secure system. While the e-visa service is being upgraded, the visa-on-arrival option remains a convenient choice for travelers from approved nations. This approach is expected to sustain tourism and facilitate entry until the new system is up and running.

Visa-on-arrival applications are processed at specific immigration checkpoints at Kuwait International Airport, allowing visitors to secure their entry permits upon arrival. This option offers a smooth entry experience, showcasing Kuwait’s commitment to balancing convenience with improved administrative capabilities.

The temporary suspension and upcoming enhancements reflect Kuwait’s dedication to enhancing its travel services and ensuring that the latest technological advancements support both user-friendliness and national security. Once the upgrades are finalized, travelers can anticipate a more robust and user-friendly e-visa service.
