Dubai’s Al Sabkha area will soon have a seven-storey smart parking facility with space for 350 vehicles, as announced by Parkin Company on Tuesday.

Parkin, a public parking operator, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Endowments and Minors’ Trust Foundation (Awqaf Dubai) to develop this state-of-the-art parking project. Al Sabkha is located in the bustling Deira district, a hotspot for commercial and residential activities.

Spanning a total area of approximately 175,000 square feet, the facility will also include 9,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space, which will provide additional revenue streams for Parkin. According to the company, this innovative parking structure is designed to be barrierless, ensuring seamless access and convenience for users.

Parkin stated that the project is expected to generate Dh200 million in revenue for Awqaf Dubai over a 25-year period. Under the agreement, Awqaf Dubai will finance the development, while Parkin will utilize its expertise to manage, operate, and maintain the facility.

Construction is planned to start in the second half of 2025, pending necessary approvals, and is expected to take around two years to complete.
