Abu Dhabi is preparing for the grand finale of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship, scheduled to take place at Mubadala Arena, Zayed Sports City, from December 13 to 15.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the fifth and final round, which will crown champions in the Gi and No-Gi categories. The championship has been an exciting showcase of top talent, featuring the best clubs and academies from across the UAE.
Excitement Builds for the Final Round
The championship’s first edition has already delivered intense competitions and impressive performances from athletes in all divisions.
With a prize pool of Dh 1.5 million, competitors have extra motivation as they aim for victory in this highly anticipated season finale. This event represents the culmination of months of dedication and fierce battles, cementing the championship’s role as a key platform for athletes to excel.
Clubs in Contention for Glory
Heading into the final round, Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club leads the standings in the Gi category, thanks to strong performances in the previous four rounds.
They are closely followed by Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club in second place and Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club in third, with only a slim points margin separating the top contenders.

Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the vital role of the UAE’s leadership in promoting jiu-jitsu. He praised the championship for its success and for providing a platform to identify and nurture talented athletes.
“This championship reflects the vision of our wise leadership, whose support has helped jiu-jitsu become a key part of our nation’s sports landscape. As we approach the final round, we celebrate the efforts of all participants who have demonstrated exceptional competitive spirit,” Al Dhaheri said.

Since its launch, the championship has witnessed widespread participation, with over 2,500 male and female athletes competing in the first round alone. The final round is expected to draw similar numbers, reinforcing the growing popularity of jiu-jitsu among fans and athletes.
