Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shared on X:

“We will honor teams, individuals, and federal entities that present projects to streamline government procedures, save resources, and reduce regulatory challenges. This effort is to simplify steps, save time, and make government transactions more efficient.”

He added, “We want to thank and celebrate the hardworking employees who serve tirelessly to support the public, consolidate competitiveness, and provide valuable resources.”

Emirates Entrepreneurship Council

In the same meeting, the Cabinet approved the formation of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Council, led by Alia Al Mazrouei. A Dh300 million fund was also established to support youth projects and motivate them to enter the entrepreneurial field. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of engaging the youth in the nation’s economic growth:

“Our nation is blessed with vast opportunities. We want our youth to harness these opportunities, excel in entrepreneurship, and lead the economic movement toward greater heights.”

Preserving Architectural Heritage

Another key decision was the approval of a national policy to preserve modern architectural heritage. The policy aims to protect buildings and urban facilities of cultural and historical significance that define the UAE’s architectural identity.

Sheikh Mohammed stated that 130 sites have been identified for preservation, with plans to expand the list to 1,000 sites in the coming years.

Governance System for Education and Community Development

The Cabinet also introduced a new governance system for the Education, Human Development, and Community Council, led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Deputy Sheikha Mariam bint Mohammed bin Zayed.

This council includes key members from various sectors, including higher education, private education, and the social sector.

Looking Ahead

The final Cabinet meeting of the year, held at Qasr Al Watan, was marked by optimism. Sheikh Mohammed concluded with a hopeful note:

“A good year for the best people, led by the best president, and driven by a dedicated national team. The future holds even greater prospects, God willing, in 2025.”

This forward-looking approach underlines the UAE’s commitment to continuous progress and development across various sectors.
