As Dubai enters its busy travel season starting Friday, December 13, Dubai Police have advised motorists to avoid roads leading to and from the airport.

Authorities revealed that over 5.2 million travelers are expected to pass through Dubai International Airport (DXB) between December 13 and 31.

In a statement shared on X, Dubai Police urged drivers to consider alternative routes. They said, “Motorists heading to Dubai Airports and Airport Road are encouraged to use different roads to reduce traffic and ensure smoother trips for travelers.”

December 20 (Friday) is projected to be the busiest day, with nearly 296,000 travelers passing through the airport. The weekend from December 20 to 22 will also be a peak period, with about 880,000 guests expected.

During this festive season, an average of 274,000 passengers will be flying in and out of DXB daily.
