A cargo plane crashed near Vilnius International Airport on Monday

A cargo plane crash near Vilnius International Airport on Monday, November 25, 2024, has resulted in the death of one individual. The aircraft, which was en route from Germany to Lithuania, went down just a few kilometers from the airport while preparing to land.

Firefighters responded to the crash, which occurred in the early morning hours, but have not yet provided additional information regarding the cause. Emergency teams are currently on-site, and an investigation is in progress.
