On December 21, 2025, the fourth Bike Abu Dhabi Gran Fondo will debut a reversible course, beginning in the verdant Al Ain area and ending in Abu Dhabi. This modification provides a new visual experience, enabling visitors to explore the varied landscapes of the emirate in a different way.
AED 2 million prise pool, a record
With 364 prizes and a total prise money of AED 2 million, up 44 from the previous year, the event is currently one of the most profitable one-day cycling events in the world. This innovative reward system has the potential to help both professional and amateur racers.
Increasing Global Involvement
Since its inception in 2022, the Gran Fondo has drawn more than 1,000 riders from more than 70 different countries, solidifying its position as a major international athletic event. In keeping with the United Arab Emirates’ goal of promoting unity through sports as part of the Year of the Community project, organisers hope to sustain this multicultural momentum in 2025.
A Strategic Struggle for Leadership in Global Cycling
“The event embodies Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become a global cycling hub,” said Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. The council is still dedicated to integrating cycling into the cultural fabric of the emirate by encouraging healthy lifestyles and improving community involvement.
